Life is a momentary vacation from the monotony of eternity.
We voluntarily cast ourselves into flesh for the ornaments of sights and sounds and touch.
We choose to limit our consciousness, our awareness, to re-experience the unknown, the mundane, the magic of mortality.
We disconnect from our immortality to connect with others in mass, in weight, in gravity, in the beats of living hearts.
In our mobile chemical vessels, we express our flickering lives briefly in ways only being alive allows.
Our disembodied spirit is blind and mute, a song without an instrument, a poem without a pen.
Our spirit feels love and not its touch, our cries but not our tears.
Our spirit needs us as much as we need it.
When we reach for spirituality we reach for the pure emotions of eternity, and in life we feel its touch.
Two spirits eternally in love would want to touch, to feel, to see hear and smell one another.
Eternally, over and over. ~ AG
