Pagani Huayra - OH MY, what a paint job!

Pagani Huayra

"Any ride can be tweaked and peaked!"

"First, I select the chassis of the car or cycle then I black the original texture. Then, i add new texture and tweak the numbers. Next, onto the shine layer where i slap on a coat of glitter and tweak the numbers to cover the shell evenly and shoot it with a different color gloss. Last, to finish off, i get after the chromes and then wheels. I can do windows and complete interior mods, too!"ⓂⓄⒹⓄ (stiffler.bombastic)

"I'll make your ride slide and look cool on the glide." - Modo

Vrutega Vega - Machinima Series

Machinima Series by Vrutega Vega

This is a project I've always wanted to pursue since I started machinima on Second Life. This is a 3-episode series that follows a cyber bounty hunter being pursued by a shadow organization. I have plans to eventually expand on this concept in the future.

Set design, and actors are all coordinated by members of Machinima Group, my Second Life machinima community and organization that I founded. I also collaborate with Second Life designers and other content creators to make these machinimas come to life. - VV

The SL Profile

Don't Forget to Read Profiles

The SL Profile is like your eyes in real life. You can learn the *5 W's and H's of who people are by reading their profiles, and get an idea or "feeling" about whether or not you might/can have something in common with them. A person's profile may intrigue and delight you. Some profiles can open your eyes to new things and ways of thinking, and may even help facilitate a change in perspective. On the other hand, some profiles may make you want to TP (teleport) outta there as fast as possible (lol).

In any event, while reading profiles you can apply the Q-Tip Rule of life: Quit Taking it Personally, and just enjoy the amazing profiles you can read in SL.

Dating Tip: If you are, in fact, open to relationships in SL, it's kinda hard to find places to meet people whom you may connect with. One good way is to find sims, environments, and clubs that you love; join their groups. Once you've joined the group you can read all the group members' profiles and see if any of them sound like you might want to meet them. Then, send them a PM (private message) and say "hey, I see you belong to xyz group. Do they have any events coming up?" Notice, this works even if you're only looking for new friends.

Social Scientists did research on the number of people you have to meet & greet (not sleep with) in order to find a friend, best friend, or a potential soul mate (this is the foundation of the dating shows on tv; like The Bachelor). They found that a person needs to meet & greet up to 100 new people to find 3 or 4 people who may be your bestie or a soul mate. People, too often, give up and settle for 2nd best. My advice: don't settle! Meet & greet as many people as you want until you have the few friends or "the one" you want in your life. It's worth it!

Found on a profile a few years ago:

There's 3 main ways to approach SL, each one is unique but none better than the other.

A. Augmentationist - One whose AVI is a tool to make a RL connection with another RL person. A connection: that doesn't mean that he/she is looking for a RL relation.

B. Roleplayer - One whose AVI is a fictional character, a puppet in a shared storyline.

C. Immersionist - One who self-identifies with their AVI, and who lives through its eyes in this world.

Some people are only one of these, and others are a mix of them, depending on the situation. Although this changes, I feel that I am:

A. 60%

B. 10%

C. 30%

(Author: A. 50, B. 0, C. 50)

Poster's Note: Obviously, there are more categories that include some, um, erm, negative reasons to be in Second Life. There are some angry, malevolent and rabble-rousing types in SL, too. I do not include those here as it isn't the focus of this article. We are not including any political or religious aspects of SL either, although, they do co-exist within SL. It is a breathtaking experience to be in SL!

We'll leave you and this post with SL Heaton's words:

Have a brilliant day!

Yes, there are "real men" in Second Life!

Picture compliments of Strawberry Singh

Okay, but wait, there's more, if you are a strong, intelligent, educated woman with a better than average sense of self-awareness, sharing your time with an equally balanced man (or woman) can be just as beautiful and enduring. In this regard, Second Life provides all types of men (and women) who may lead to that amazing connection many are looking for in a mate!

The answer is "yes," yes there are many "real men" in Second Life. SL is a lot like real life when it comes to relationships and, pretty much as you'd expect, not every man (or woman) you meet is going to check all of your mental boxes of criteria. However, I personally know of *8 couples who have gone the extra mile (or thousands of miles) to marry in real life. Of course, meeting in real life may be out of the question for so many valid reasons yet romance in Second life can be just as fulfilling and enduring as a real-life relationship.

I was married in SL for 7 years happily and it was beautiful. Why did it end? We both decided that real life was more important. I was raising a teen alone, and she became engaged. The seven years, however, were deep, profound, loving, exciting, and fulfilling. It worked out for both of us. (I prefer not to divulge my current status for privacy reasons)

There is something to be said for Second Life that cannot be said for real-life: People actually have to talk (or type) in full conversations, revealing their innermost landscapes and baring them to those they care most about. This is a plus that gives people a chance to really get to know each other on a deeper level. It's kind of like "give a man a mask and he'll tell you the truth"...only it's so much more: space, comfort, safety, anonymity, and the heart will open its vault doors.

So, bottom line, yes, there are lots of great men in Second Life, you just have to have your filters on. In many ways, these matches (after lots of time and feeling safe) are made in the heaven you create together!

Obviously, simply put, what we mean is: There are real men and not women just playing men in Second Life! (Although, that happens, too)

* Correction: I know 8 people, 4 couples who have married from SL to RL!

Note: There have been some questions and comments regarding this post which highlights the need to add this: A real man is anyone the woman (or man) says is a "real man." Whether or not a man is physically, mentally or emotionally challenged does not preclude him from the "real man" title. Every person is unique! What does include a man into the "real man" category is his character, integrity, openness, willingness to "tell the whole story," connectability, empathy, and a good heart. Regardless of your RL circumstances, SL can and does give almost everyone the opportunity to uncover, discover and reveal humanity and their own journey!

Skyline gt-r 34, what a car!

“If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough.” ― Mario Andretti

In SL, you can race all types of cars. This is the VIX Motors Drift Car, Skyline gt-r 34, custom painted wrap.

"Drifting is considered one of the most difficult motorsports that require elite-level driving skills. It is also one of the most exhilarating motorsports to watch. Drifting involves taking quick turns with minimal loss of speed and negotiating turns and bends with the car going sideways, creating as much smoke as possible in the process." Nzilli Sam (HOTCARS)

You can fly, ride, soar, surf, and race in almost all types of vehicles in Second Life.

Land of Wonder

we all are stories; we are books longing for someone to look beyond our covers and turn our pages and read the ink tattooed on them. we long to be seen, we want to be read and understood and loved, we are hoping to become poetry to those hearts who see us, something beautiful and unforgettable

— Gaby Comprés

Life can be perceived as a war in which case we are all combatants. Or Life can be perceived as a dance in which case we are all learning how to work together. Marcus Aurelius Antoninus said "Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth." So, are you a combatant or are you going to dance?
